Are you curious about Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) but wondering how it actually plays out in a real classroom?

Or maybe you’re thinking about attending this year’s Second Language Research Forum (SLRF) in Montreal this October, but want to know what’s in it for classroom teachers?

We’ve got you covered.

Next week, we’re hosting a free pre-conference hangout with two brilliant researchers and educators: Matt Coss and Lara Bryfonski.

Register free here.

🎙️ Meet Your Hosts: Matt Coss & Lara Bryfonski

Dr. Lara Bryfonski is an Associate Professor of Linguistics at Georgetown University specializing in second language acquisition, Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), and teacher education. Her work focuses on bridging research and classroom practice, with particular expertise in adapting TBLT to serve diverse learners, curriculum design, and task implementation. She is also co-author of The Art and Science of Language Teaching (Cambridge University Press).

Dr. Matt Coss is an applied linguist, teacher educator, and Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama. A former classroom language teacher, his work centres on the relationship between research and practice, focusing specifically on Task-Based Language Teaching, assessment, and language program evaluation.
